Default Nankang NS20 Anygood?

Wheelbase said there a good all round tyre for the money.

215/45/17. £60 each including fitting and balancing.

I only use the car once/twice a week. Don't need out flash!

Was thinking falkens 452's. Cheapest I've seen is £77 + Delivery. Camskill.

Cheers guys

Don't look that good from these reviews. Don't comprimise, tyres are the only thing that keeps the shiny parts of your car off the road!

if i have been a bit short of cash in the past i have fitted part worn tyres, at least you can get a decent tyre to last till you can afford better!

Nankang tyres are bad, poor grip. I wouldn't put them on any car, end up in the ditch with them. My brother had Hankook tyres and said they were good in wet and dry conditions.

Anything with Nankang written on the tyre wall is going to last forever, but they offer no grip whatsoever....id stay well clear personally. And as said, the tyres on your car are the only thing that keep it on the black stuff.

When i bought my car it had Linglong tyres on it and i thought i would change them straight away! Anyway, to wear them out did a trackday on them for a laugh only to come away thinking they're not that bad!!!
My point is cheap tyres are ok and you shouldn't be going that mad on the road anyway.

I kind of agree... so really the tyres you buy depends on how you will be (or could be) driving the car.
I also try to bear in mind..... how fast can i stop - esp in the wet - if i need to.

Agreed you shouldn't be pushing 100% on the road, but at the point where you need 110% is when something has gone wrong or someone else has forced you to do something you wouldn't normally. Its at these times the tires aren't just black circles anymore they are the things that make you stop 10 feet before the kid runs out, not 10 feet after they run out.

They are not known as "Ditchfinders" for nothing..... and as has already been mentioned you need to have some good rubber in contact with the road in case something does go pants.
