brembos on standard wheels
Hi all is it poss to fit brembos and standard 16s on my type-r? or wont they clear?

unfortunately not, you will need 17" and a wheel design that accounts for the larger clearance required for the STi Brambo caliper

they wont clear mate , you need 17s or 18s with the right offset to get them in.

Godspeed use to do a brembo kit (305 or 308mm) with the calipers like those on the fiat coupe turbo/pug 406 3ltr coupe, had a similar setup on my first classic, damn that car really stopped quickly
a vast improvement over the standard 4 pots.

I wish they did, I've seen some lovely JDM, rally wheels that come up in 15's and 16's.
Best bet is NewAge STi wheels

thanks chaps ive got a set of 17s and 18s just want the car to look oem as im going stealthy with the type-r looks like its the 17s then

And be carefull with the Brembo's/wheel choice.
WRX wheels (cheap and OEM looking) will not fit without a 5-8mm spacer ,for example.
