Just after peace of mind before I buy new tyres for my P1.
Is anyone running 215 40 17's ? Do they rub at all?
What makes are you using ?
I here that S-02's are the best but I think that they've stopped making them.
What are people buying instead?

Not too happy with the wet performance o f the pzeros that came on the car so I'd like a change.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Medders
I've done just that and gone to 215-40-17 on my p1 haven't had any problems at all and that extra size has to be better right
Went for eagle f1's much more grip then the p zero's in the wet and when cold also cheaper paid about £330 fitted for all 4,hope this helps.
Chris.

Hi Medders,

I have just put 4 Bridgestone Potenza S0-3’s 215/45/17 on my P1
The wet performance of the S-03 compared to the P-Zeros is amazing – I wish I’d made this change ages ago.
Also at the same time as changing all 4 tyres I had a full geometry setup done witch together with the S-03’s has transformed the car.

So far after 500 miles of use I have not noticed any signs of rubbing.

Cheers,

Rob

Thanks for the info chaps. One question springs to mind. Which wall height affects the speedo ?
40 or 45 on a 215?

Should be 40 on a 215.

I'm coming to the end of my P-zeros too, and I'm going to give the Toyo T1-S a go. I've heard good things about them. Does anyone have any experience of them?

JB, Toyos get very high ratings on here. I wanted some meself but, according to reliable sources, Toyo have been caught out by the unpopularity of the new Bridgestone SO-3 (most seem to think not as good as SO-2) and all the Bridgestone runners have exhausted all current Toyo stock. I was quoted mid-May as earliest availability so had to opt for Goodyear F1 which I'm well happy with - £90 each all in from Tyres Northampton. There's also a new F1 knocking about but very little feedback on that at the mo. Also, new Pirelli P-Zero Nero has made a few friends. But you'll not get better value than the Goodyears in 215/40x17.

Cheers,

Richard.

I've been told that the next batch of Toyo's will arive in the UK on the 10th May, so will probably be available a couple of days after that.

I am getting the new Goodyear F1 D3's fitted tomorrow so we'll see how they shape up.
