Default Which brake set up?

Wanting to upgrade the brakes on my 95 RA from the standard 2 pots to something more substantial for track work. The ones I am thinking about that are available at a reasonable price are:

K-sport 8 pot 330mm kit

Brembo 4 pots 330mm kit

Tarox 6 pots 330mm kit

Tarox 10 pots 330mm kit

Prodrive alcon set up(rare as rocking horse s**t)

Can't stretch to the £1k mark for ap's so they are out.

Which would be the best set up, or is there any that I have missed.

Cheers.

The ebay link for the AP's are one of my kits looking at the brackets , I could supply you new discs and bells for £450 , so could work out a cheap kit

Cheers for the replies.

Aztec, very nice kit but out of my price range. Only got maximum of about £600 to spend on brakes unless you want to sell them to me for that?

Is there much performance difference between the kits I have listed?

More importantly, which would fit under 17" speedline GT1 alloys. see link http://www.performancealloys.com/whe...ls.aspx?ID=201

You may struggle at that price range, maybe a set of used STi Brembo Calipers (if your wheels clear them) with some new discs and pads would work in that budget.

K-Sports are good value, but even then you are looking at £100 more on the GB or £200 more once you have upgraded the pads.

Maybe keep an eye out for used K-Sports?

Both the tarox kits are for sale on here, 6 pot for £600 ono and the 10 pots starting at £350.

Are these good kits and worth the money?

here you have my kit
https://www.scoobynet.com/private-fo...-red-pads.html
used calipers ok but strange is people put used pads and discs.
my kit is near to perfect, ask ian about discs maybay he know something, pads could be blue stuff but for that price are very good.
next do search how much costs discs and pads for tarox etc. on ebay sometimes people sell NEW pads and discs a lot cheaper then shops. usually for wrx calipers and brembo calipers-its the biggest market.
sometimes they sell car, sometimes they steel it
im not sure now but on saturday i will have mine gold sti wheels for sale from 20.000miles sti with only 2 little marks on it.
i will have 18" wheels and id like to buy 8pot ksport kit from bren thats only reason why i sell it.

They are 'ok' , the problem might be the availability on pads , you would have to check to see who makes them in those shapes , the good thing with either Brembo or AP calipers is every good pad manufacturer makes pads for them

Thats exactly why I'm holding off on buying them Ian.

The other problem is is wether the brembos would fit under the alloys I have. 17" speedline gt1's. Anyone got any idea if they would fit under them?

Cheers.
