Default Changing Front Pads - Seized Pins

Started to change my front pads today - 330s hatch - and completed the NSF without a problem. Came to do the OSF and the retaining pins have seized, no amount of penetrating fluid or hammering has helped.

I know this is a common issue, but does anyone know where I can get replacement pins without paying stealer prices?

My lad had a similar on his Clio 197 sport this summer: Brembos on the front, pins seized.

Renault dealer sold him a set, told him they keep good stocks as they seize so often.

Good German design again, eh?

Funny, the first place I looked was ebay. Unfortunately it seems that Brembo have changed the design of the pin for the 2007 onwards models, so won't fit mine

I would have got that through the warranty, no way they should do that on 2009 car. I would have fought them the whole way.

Warranty doesn't cover things that wear and tear, though

I am pretty sure these should be meant to last the life of the car so should be able to get them on warranty.

If you had put the car in the garage to get the pads replaced do you think they would have charged you for the pins if they could not get them out?

Undoubtedly.
You'd not have got them for nowt.

You could try, but I reckon they'd say, consumable.

Way I see it if I go to them and it's a fitted price it's exactly that, but if I change them myself its my risk and therefore my cost.

Dealer has them in, so will pick them up and start the fun...

All done, pins replaced, heat and a few big blows with a punch and hammer and pins came out in one piece but bent out of shape.

Replacement pins straight in and rotate freely!

Ceramic Grease on the pins, so should be much easier next time!!

Copper grease can be used as an alternative though
