It will be primarily for general road use but would like to fit a track day some stage in the new year. Been reading and noticed kevlar pads or mintex get mentioned alot

Kevlar pads won't be up for track work, but are a good cheap option for normal road use.

EBC Bluestuff NDX is the best all round pad and as good on the road as they are on track. We use it here on our modified Porsche 911 Turbo and it is superb.

We have a wide range of discs also available at great prices, give us a call for options and advice.

Hi
Kevlar pads are basically the first step up from standard , so work perfect from cold , are quiet in use , but will take more heat than a standard pad when pressing on , they are not really suitable for track use as the heat generated on the track would be too much for these to cope with after 4 or 5 laps.

The Mintex pads are good , the M1144 fast road pads are about on par with our kevlar pads , but are very dusty , the Mintex M1155 are very good on track and driving hard , but need a bit of heat into them to get the best out of them , and can be quite noisy.

Ferodo DS2500's are also good , but quite expensive.

The best all round pads are the new EBC bluestuff NDX pads , I have had them in my work car since September which gets used and abused for everything here , even when it was -8 going to work last week they bite perfectly , and are just as happy being abused in my sons 400hp Evo 8 being driven hard around Castle Coomb , they really are a good alround pad , that is also wearing very well , no evidence of any crumbling as some of the other do with hard use.

I can supply you our grooved front discs with black painted centres to stop them going rusty , and the EBC bluestuff pads for £199 plus £12.50 P&P , this I believe would be the best setup for you without going to a larger brake kit.

Our discs are German made blanks and therefore very good quality , not the ebay cheapies that mostly come from China

I have all items on the shelf to send out on a 1-2 day service weather dependent .

If you need any further advice please ask , we are not the most popular disc choice on here by accident

Cheers Ian

Another vote for Ian: had his brakes and upgrades on my car since first modding it 8 years ago. Never had a problem.

Top bloke too.
