Cant find anyone to colour match an O.Z.Wheel.

Help......
Recently kerbed an Anthracite O.Z. P1 wheel down to the bare metal. I have tried Spit and Polish who told me that they cannot get the colour match right on Anthracite O.Z. wheels due to the matt finish.
Could I send the wheel back to O.Z. for re finishing? Or should I get the whole lot redone in Silver. I don't want to have to fork out for a new wheel as I get get the whole lot re finished for less money.
Any help or suggestions greatly appreciated.
Thanks

I'm glad someone is thinking rationally.
Its got to be less than re colouring the whole lot surely
Do you know whether they'll be able to keep the O.Z.Racing transfers?
Cheers Mate

I know its a bit drastic and you will lose the logo's but my choice would be to paint all 4 in a powder coat anthracite. The powder coat is much smoother and shinier finish not to mention that it last longer too
I re-finished a set of wheels on my RB5 in the standard colour by spit&polish, brake dust then killed the finish and i had to get them done again. The next time i went for a powder coat( i was dubious at first because of the colour) and wished i went down that route the first time. The colour and finish was perfect
I used Rimtek that are based in Dartford

Thanks for all the replies.
Have checked with O.Z and as it says above they do not re finish wheels. Its a new wheel or nothing.
I'll probably touch it in for now with a touch up pen from Halfords or somewhere, and wait til the tyres need replacing.
Scott
Thanks for the suggestion can you give me a rough idea on how much the powder coating was please. Then its the dilema of do I leave them Anthracite or do I get them re-done in silver
Thanks

We have had this wheel repainted by www.wonder-wheels.co.uk and you cannot tell that it has been done. Have a look on their website for your nearest agent.

Hi Nathan
I did that silly trick on my UK300!!! I had the wheel repaired at Sheffield Metal Polishing Co Ltd (AKA Wheel Clinic, ask for Nick - also a Scooby owner - 0114 273 8216). They didnt match the UK300 colour?? But said they would recoat it for me when they can get the powder coat in that colour, they are trying at the mo to find it. It is a superb finish though and powder coating is tougher than paint. Repair and powder coat was £49-35p Inc VAT. Sorry it is a long way from you. Maybe worth asking them about the match on Anthracite. I am now trying to get hold of OZ Decals too, will let you know when/if I get them and from. Same if you do please?

Dave.
Thanks, I spoke to Spit and Polish in Tonbridge and apparently O.Z. wont release the stencil so it can be painted on. I was going to go to a graphics shop and have them made up.
