handbreak

Default handbreak

my handbreak has stopped working, took the rear breaks apart and i think its the self adjuster, is their anywhere i can by a kit from , looked on camskill and couldn't find one.

oh and its a 1998 uk turbo just for reference.

the adjusters are very simple to pull apart and lubricate, never had to replace one in over 10yrs..........

is it adjusted correctly??

i know, bit of a strange one, im not sure, always felt ok. bout 6 clicks, the car was stood for a while, so im not sure if that would have caused it

need it sorting cuz mot is due.

cuz when i took the breaks apart , the little metal part that sits in the cog has snapped, this is the adjuster im talking bout aint it??

yes mate thats what stops the hand brake adjuster from backing off,thats why the hb has gone slack then cause its backing off,you'd get 1 from breakers if your near 1 but if not then stealers unless you get lucky with some 1 on here mate

cheers m8, hope so. want it on the road for the 4th round time attack at cadwell, just round the corner from me. would be gutted if i had to go in the other car lol

will keep browsing the net, got one local breaker so prob worth ringing
