Default 18inch on a Hawkeye

As the title says will 18 inch alloys fit the hawkeye without having to roll the arches or any other modifications?

thinking of getting these alloys:

I run 8" rims @ ET 44, with 235 tyres on my bug-eye STI.

225, 235, 245 or even 255 are within the 8" range depending on profile, i.e. the lower the profile, the less sidewall flex so the fitting has to be more accurate, on the other hand a tyre with too high a profile just to allow wider size can be harmful to handling due to greater sidewall flex (not to mention altering gearing) 225 is perfect although 235 is ok and shouldn't rub. A good tyre fitting guide on the US toyo website showing what width wheels their tyres will fit. http://toyotires.com/tire/pattern/proxes-t1r

You may find that fitting 18s makes the car look as though its on stilts. Easily resolved by fitting a set of Eibach springs, however.

they will go on with no rubbing . the best size is 225.40.18 , you can go 235 if you want without rubbing .

they will look better than the 172 but as above they look better with a small suspension drop

as for the wheels they are a nice pattern , i can supply these if you want

General rule of thumb with 18's

18x8 - Best to run 235/40/18
18x7.5 - Best to run 225/40/18

Depending on the tyre (as they vary in wall width) 225 on an 8" can look mismatched. T1R's for example come up a fair bit shorter than a nice chunky Sessanta.
