is this tyre size ok for a bugeye?

looking at a set of 18" wheels that are local to me, they have 215 35 18 tyres on though, are these going to be ok?

35 profile tyres will be a bit harsher over bumps & ridges, most new-age cars would use 225/40/18 to keep the speedo accurate.

Coming off a classic ?

they are off a celica. he says they were on an impreza before but he didnt mention if it was a classic. obviously they are the same offset etc.
