Default Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta tyre pressures

Hi all........

I have just ordered a set of these 225x40x18 for my 02 STI, I was wondering what tyre pressures you are running on there...

I looked on Vredesteins UK website and they suggest 46psi front and 45 rear.. this seems a bit excessive

cheers

Andy

Yes, I posted a little while back about these tyres when left unused for a week or more and initial steering vibration until they became 'round' again. Pressures became part of the conversation and the rather strange Vredestien website recommendation which, having tried it for a short while, I found a bit 'tip toe' and pretty nasty on the terrible condition roads we have at the present time.
I'm currently using 34/30 on the same size as you.

I emailed Vredestein a while ago about this - if you do a search you'll find it. Apparently the quoted pressures are for a fully loaded car (4people plus luggage?) so you should just run your "normal" pressures with these tyres.

I had them at 32 on the Nurburgring at the weekend and the grip was very impressive, even in the rain when others were having trouble
