Default Wheel fitment

Right, car came with so called pro drive wheels on, had centre caps with prodrive on, now only problem is, they wont clear the front brakes and have what i think are alloy frizbies from halfords spacing them, and the wheelnuts have about 5 threads as they come that far out lol and stick beyond bodywork.

Why would pro drive wheels (17) not fit over the engraved 4 pots?

Any ideas or shall i just scrap them and get new age sti ones

Oh and the wheels rub like hell on 1 turn of the wheel.

Heres a quick pic so you know what wheels they are

Those wheels are/were optional on earlier classics. 1996/97/98 or somewhere around there. 4pots appeared MY1999/2000.

The earlier wheels, yours included, won't fit without spacers.

Only 5 threads is pretty dodgy. Better not to drive it until sorted out.

I just sold some wheels that look just like those

Mine cleared the 4 pots but the width of a £1 coin though

Maybe the offset is different - what are yours? Think mine were ET48
