Default Sessantas - problem?

A couple of times I've noticed that after standing for a few days I get steering wobble above 80 which eventually smoothes out after a few miles. It's not noticable at the lower speeds during the warm - up period. The first time I noticed it I went and had all four wheels re-balanced but it's still there, as described. I have 225/40-18 Sessantas and am wondering if during the period of inactivity they are getting a flat spot which corrects itself after some miles? I recall Yokohama had a problem with this some years ago.
Has anyone else noticed something similar with these tyres when left parked for some days?

Not really, mine stands for quite a bit between usage. I run 37f 35r pressure wise.

Seriously though, i have sessantas, although only 17s - and have never noticed this. It is rare that it stands for a day let alone a few, but next time it does i'll be on the lookout now!!

Mine often stands for several days, never noticed this. Think they are supposed to run at quite high pressures, what are you running at?

I know that the Vredestein site gave some ridiculous pressure recommendation of 40-odd psi! but I'm running the usual 33/29

i had a set of tyres do the same on my old mr2, they were exactly the same size too and i was running them on 34psi so i upped the pressures to 40psi and never had any further problems i am not sure what brand they were but i do know that certain low profile tyres do rely on a higher inflation pressure.

I've just been on the Vredestein website and they quote 2.9bar (42psi!) That's way above the Prodrive recommendation of 33/29psi
I'll try upping the pressures (the ride's hard enough already on the Prodrive springs!)

33/29 is too low John, 37/35 is what I run.

Just upped them to 2.7/2.5 bar (39/36 psi) Will go for a drive later to feel it out and maybe pop into the dentist to replace any shaken out fillings!

I run 32 front and 30 rear. Revolution put 32 in all 4 when i left there.
The Vredestein webby quotes FULL LOAD pressures and not just like me, one person car or two at most. Tyres are better overinflated than under, that is why Vred quote higher.
I , on the other hand, check mine every week and so run "correct" pressures all the time.
imho 36 and 39, etc is far too high for them and certainly not required.

dose it also depend on what power you are running?
i have 18'' and am 340BHP 400FT/LBS
and run mine on 36 all round
and i think i will try 40 to see how they run
