2 or all 4?
Right guys i am going to buy some tyres as there isn't much tread left on the inside and outside of my front tyres. My rears are in still pretty good shape 3 mm on the inner and outer of the tyre and 4mm in the middle.
The question is do I change all 4? I have heard people say on 4wd and awd cars you should change all 4? but my logic would be if they are fine why change them as the car is not 50/50 power ratio they will wear at different speeds.
Any thoughts would be helpful

i agree with alcazar i used to own a jeep a few years ago permanent 4 wheel drive like the scoob and on the jeep forum it was always stated that you replace all 4 tyres same time.... will when needed do the same on the scoob to be safe....

I replaced my front and spun off the road the next day, luckily no damage. Went back to Kwik fit and the guy said I should have changed all four at once(bit late then I thought and had a rant at thim) apparently in certain countries(Germany for one) you have to change all four on an AWD car. Money well spent IMO, could save your car, I was doing 15 MPH on a wet bend and span off!!!!!

Camskill are usually cheap and I believe free delivery.
No need to replace all four though, unless they are all fubar'd. Replace per axle, fronts or rears as needed. Just don't replace n/s or o/s front and rears in pairs.

can't honestly see that they need changing all 4 together as the fronts don't have much on now and the rears do. So the difference in tread thickness will be closer when the fronts are replaced than they currently are now.
I just think it seems a waste of 2 decent tyre with like 5mm tread on

i would replace all four this time, and then in future remember to swap back wheels with the fronts when the fronts get half way worn. I was always told that you only need to replace the tyres in 2's (same axle), but i always change in 4's by swapping them around like above.
