225/35/18 tyres
Who's running these on there classics?
My car is MY99 saloon with tein coilys all round. Is there anyone here who runs them with no problem at all, or do they rub?
I have heard that your better going for the Falken or any other brand where the tyre wall slopes in and has less of a rim protector? Or is that nonsense and any brand 225/35/18 tyre will fit?
Example of how Falken-452 sits flush

I am currently running 17's with 215/45/17 with no rubbing? If I carry out arch rolling will they still rub, or is the rubbing on the inside, Shock body, full lock, etc, etc?

it's a bugger cause there almost new and toyo's but I'm considering taking them off and fitting bigger ones, the wheels were on a classic so maybe they dont have as much clearance as there looks loads on my car ?

Ive just bought some wheels for my bugeye with 215/35/18 on, they look too small to me ! maybe classics require them and bug's dont ??

looks like an increased profile and width is ok with the bug. Also wondering if I can use 225/35/18 but use a spacer?

Mate, Ive been asking for weeks if you can run 225/35/18's instead of 215/35/18! But nobody seems to know, I was at a place yesterday where I seen a type R 2 door classic running 225/40/18's! Never asked if the arches had been rolled if the wheels rubbed!? But also presumed the 2 door classics have slightly bigger arches!?
I would prefer to get 225/35/18 but cant be bothered with the hassle of fixing the rubbing issues, or swapping tyres to 215/35/18. But at same time would be gutted if I got a set of 215/35/18's and seen there was room to put 225/35's in there!
