I was wanting to know if all STI's come with the same Brembo setup?

I have a 2003 v-limited 04 JDM STI and was wondering what the brake setup is on these. Its got Brembos but unsure of the size etc...

Do Brembos just relate to the calipers or discs and pads aswell?

Can anyone recommend some pads (road use only) as the current ones are not really stopping the car.

Also with it being a 4 wheel drive do all brake pads work together? or is it just the front brakes which are used when braking?

Sorry for the noobie questions. Last car was an Audi A3 which was completely different.

The front brake disc size should be 326mm or 330mm with 316mm on the rear.

I would recommend performance friction pads give very gd bite have these fitted all round with pf discs on the front and std brembo discs on the rear c/w goodridge braided hoses.

Unsure if this is correct but am sure that about 75% of the brakeing is done through the front and the other 25% done through the rear. sure someone will correct me if am wrong tho.

4wd's tend to have (or need) more rear effort than FWD for example..........

326mm front and 316mm rear as above is std fit for all new-age STi cars..........

PF pads seem very track orientated and very expensive.

Any suggestions for the sensible everyday commute?

 

DS2500's are a good option that are not too expensive

The ds 2500's are more expensive out of the two , I can supply you our Kevlar pads for £60 a set , the PF z rated pads for £115 a set , and DS2500's for £170 a set , p&p is £9

Depending on your driving style, for road use I would be inclined to recommend our very popular Kevlar compound pads.

Whilst the PF pads are really good, if you are only using your car lightly they will wear your discs out quicker, used for their intended use (ie fast road. track) they last very well.
