Default n fuel make that much a difference

newish owner of an sti wrx with PPP

and noticed that on a boot full, between 65ish and remaider revs before change gear the car felt like it did not rev as clean through

not quite a missfire but perhaps a little hesitation followed by a slight surge.

was running some bp ultimate in tank at time

recent fill with shell V power and seems a lot better, almost unoticeable.

was quite worried to begin with and feared a money trail of plugs/leads and other sensors.

could the fuel make this much of a difference, even though it's still early days since refill.

wonder if anyone else out there has come acorss this and could advise me if a problem is around the corner or not

many thanks to those that can help
