5x100 to 5x114.3
How do fella's
I want to chance the PCD on my blobeye WRX to open up a few more wheel choices.
Now, couple of ways i can do this one would be to buy some converters but these will add 15mmish to the hub face.
Secondly i could go for the newage sti setup, with the sti setup will the driveshafts from the wrx fit along with everything else. I was thinking about robbing the Whole knuckles. If not.... I could just get the hubs and try and get these to fit the knuckles...
Any gen at all? anybody done this before etc/
Cheers.

another option maybe to get some used drive flanges and have them re drilled at a machine shop, then swap them over with yours, thats if there is enough metal to redrill in between the existing holes. Could be worth looking into. Used 114.3 pcd wheels do go cheaper than 100pcd ones, but unsure if outlay to change would be worth it. To change the hub assemblies probably needs matching cv joints and struts as I believe the front struts from an 05 don't fit earlier cars.

I would have thought wrx 5x100pcd drive flanges could be redrilled to 5x114.3pcd then swapped over with your own, just have them drilled in between the holes, but no idea how much it would cost. I know peaple redrill 4 stud flanges in this way to open up on wheel choice, but depends how much trouble you want to go to

Can this be done on a classic? is redrill the flanges
Or are there converters readily available?
The choice of wheels in 18" @ 5x100 in the right offset is pretty poor like

Prodrive do all sorts in 5x100 with correct ET. Also Team Dynamics Pro race 1.2 available in 18" and 5x100 PCD ET45 just miss rear arches on lowered blob STi, nice light wheels.

I wouldn't just drill the 100 pcd drive flanges out to 114.
If there is enough diameter to allow the pcd to be altered, you'd be better off getting a welding shop to weld up the original holes. I don't mean someone who can burn mig wire to sheet, I mean a proper welder who is used to working on cast.
With a correctly applied weld the flanges should remain as strong as when original.
Get the welded flanges into a machine shop to reface the surface and take care of any minor distortion caused by the welding. Then have the pcd drilled to 114.
However I wouldn't expect any of this to come cheap.
