Cheapest Place to Get K-Sport Brakes?
As the title. Who's running K-Sport brakes and what did they cost you roughly?
Edited to say - Fronts for a classic!
Cheers

I bought my fronts on here for around £800 inc pads when Apex had their group buy on, I bought 330mm 8 pots with DS2500 pads. I have no complaints about performance, the braking power is awesome particularly from sub 120mph.
After about 8 months of being on the car I thought braking power wasnt as good, so I checked the rears thinking they may be binding but they were nice and free.
I then looked at the fronts to find the pads were jammed in the callipers, there is 4 stainless rubbing strips per calliper, 2 per pad to prevent the pad digging in to the alloy calliper. I had to use a 4lb lump hammer, chisels and LOTS of brute force to remove the pads on both sides of the car.
Once removed I discovered that under each rubbing strip there was some kind of epoxy glue which had swelled due to heat or absorbing water and had grabbed the pad solid.
I removed the glue and have had no problems since, apart from this problem the K Sports are quality kit!

So are you saying they were jammed lengthways? Do the stainless strips go along the back surface of the pad that faces the pistons and clip on round the top and bottom with glue underneath, making it a tight fit already and jamming as the glue swelled?
I'm just trying to understand how they have jammed. Would the glue be easily removed on fitting?

It's not a one off as it happened to me too. Much cursing to prise them out and I then couldn't get them back in with out grinding the edges off the pads.

Thats a second then, never heard of this problem before seeing this thread. I have personally run 14 different KSport brake kits on a wide variety of cars and Ive never seen that issue. Nor have any of our sponser cars had that issue arise (another 20+ brake kits) nor have myself or any of my staff had such an issue reported to us.
Until this thread
If it causes any future issues then give us a ring, we will investigate further. Might just be a case of removing the strip, remove the glue and refit the strip but I couldnt comment 100% without having a problematic caliper here in my hand.

This is a project I'm going to be starting shortly. Going to build a Classic, use newage running gear and a built engine so want to have brakes that can stop it! Was just looking for rough prices etc at the mo.
Not too bothered about that issue with the strips on the pads. If it happens I'll be able to alter something...just as long as they are a good set of brakes. Everyone I've spoken to so far seems to rate the K-Sports.
Also, would be wanting to use a 17" wheel as it will be used on the road and the potholes round here are scary! Take it I would need to use the 330mm for a 17"?

Some Brembo calipers have suffered similarly in the past. On the FIAT Coupe, for example.
