Track Day Tyre Pressures?
Hi All,
Im out on my first track day tomorrow and I would appreciate some advice on the best tyre pressures to use.
I'm running MY04 WRX Wagon with standard 17" wheels.
Cheers in advance
Mark

You just keep them pumped up to normal road pressure...
If your on sessions, pump the tyre up to normal road pressure for your car, take it on your session (20min or so) then come back in, and check the tyre pressure again (now that its warm, the tyre pressures should have gone up)
If the pressure has gone up (as it should have) drop the tyre pressured back down to what you set at the start, and this is your track tyre pressure.
At the end of every session, keep checking them to make sure they're at the same pressure as what you did to start with
Once the tyres are cool (and you are finished) you can check what pressure you are running (cold) so you know what pressure you should run for the start of next track day

not sure if it makes a difference but i was at carlimits last month and i had to pump them up to 50psi, think it was to help protect the side walls. nit sure if this needs to be done on normal track days though

50psi is fine for the Car Limits day but not a trackday! You're not generating the same heat on a Car Limits day as you do on track.
As already said, for road tyres stick to road pressures and keep an eye on them throughout the day. You only need to start worrying about pressures when running track tyres.
