Standard 4 pot caliper sticking?
My offside 4 pot caliper is sticking, i'm putting this down to 1 or more pistons sticking, it is quite bad as went for a little drive, did'nt feel right going along and when parked up the whole wheel was very hot.
How hard are these to service and is there a kit out there I can get?
Thanks
Si

You sure can, Mr Godspeed supplies a kit with all the rubbers you need (£17 a caliper iirc). Just doing mine at the moment....
Are you going to paint/refurb them at the same time or just replace the rubbers?

Nice. It really is as easy as the guide says. Just grab yourself some brake cleaner from Halfrauds.
Not wanting to teach you how to suck eggs but....get WD40 on there as soon as you can!
Finally managed to get the kit off the Scoob after about 4 days of attacking it. Still managed to come out with this:
Why do people make brake lines out of steel, I'd pay the extra £200 to have them stainless steel!

Christ mate, hope mine come out easier!
Had to get a kit off Subaru dealer today, Ian must be on his jolley's for a week. Will hopefully get it sorted on the weekend

Totally agree. Blo*dy cheapskates. I'm slowly replacing all my bolts in the engine bay with Stainless Steel ones. Did the timing belt cover bolts a month or so ago and they still look great!

Eitherway there is no stress on the timing belt covers and I've also done other bits that are mearly bolts holding clamps, wires, and other bits in place so no stress there either (except for fitting them ).

I've never heard that, would have thought stainless steel was stronger?
