Default 55 Blobeye STI Tyre Advice Pleaseeee

Hi Guys

My 55 Blob eye STI is going to need new tyres at the end of the month and i am unsure what to throw on there. The tyres needed are 225 45 17 (normal type UK alloys) and at the moment they are running Bridgestone RE050s all round.

Do i ....

Re050's again

Re070's - This car would have come from the factory with these, there kind of a cross between a sports tyre / semi slick and look the nuts

Toyo T1Rs - These are rated highly on imprezas and cost only £75 which meens i could afford to wack some on the rear in a few months too

What do we think guys, bearing in mind im only changing the fronts ....

Tnx

Sam

RE070: I've yet to find a better for my STi. Great on road on track and at £100 per corner I think great value.

T1R: I found the sidewalls too soft and didn't really get on with them.

In the summer 6 months I run RE070/R888 and in the winter months Michelin Pilot Sports.

Quick Question -

225/45R17 94Y

225/45R17 91Y

Which would i need ? The current tyres are RE050 and they are 91Y but the guy at camskill said heavier cars generally use 94Y ! What do you guys think ?
