Hi people,

Great forum! I've just joined as I bought a mint 2003 Impreza GX Sport in Silver yesterday (I know it's a bit girlie but I'm easing myself in!!!)

What are the most common wheel sizes as I want to upgrade the wheels straight away and what are the best size tyres to run on them?

Any feedback will be appreciated, hope to catch up with the Essex Connection soon!

Hi Charlie.

I have 18" wheels with 225/40/18 tyres, on a MY04 STi. Think I had 225/45/17 on the original wheels that the car came on.

Stick with 17's if you like your car to handle well along with 215, 45 tyres

Not sure on colour but leaning towards black to be honest. Going to a wheel & tyre place today to have a look at some rims

I'd recommend 17" rims and Toyo rubber.
