What tyres to go for next ?

Default What tyres to go for next ?

Hi guys am needin some advice here i have a 2004 340 bhp STI with 18" alloys that are in need of new tyres and at the mo i have Pirelli P zero nero's and altho they lasted well they gave me no confidence what so ever on the road they were twitchy and all over the road can any of you guys reccomend what to go for next. The tyre size is 225/40/18

are you sure it was the tyres worn bushes can cause those symptoms pirellis are a good make you could also try yokohamas or goodyear.

vredesteins, great all round tyres got them on mine and carnt fault them at all.

As the boys have said:-

- Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric
I have these in 215/45 R17 and the grip is fab!

- Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta
I may get these next in 215/40 R17 (closer to OEM rolling circumference - Asymmetric's don't come in this size).

Check Camskil for your size in either tyre...

Echo this but need to do 100 plus miles before they work great
Just had a full set fitted and working great now

Yep. The Asymmetrics came top in evo magazine's last "Tyre Test of the Year", and the Sessantas came runner up.

Used toyo's for many years having never got on with F1's. Then when i was desperate for a new set and toyo's couldn't be sourced in time i was recomended trying vredesteins.
Two years later and there all i use, great all round tyre.

Thanks for the help guy's i think the good years are the ones i'm gonna try they look very good and not to bad a price too.

GSD2
GSD3
Asymmetric

Asymmetric are the ones to go for!
