Default 4 Pots on a Classic

Hi Guys just a quick question......I'm looking at buying a 4 Pot set for the front with 2 pot set for the rears off a bugeye owner.

From what I understnd the 4 pot route is the best brake upgrade I can do on my classic without changing my wheels (I have 16s), would the 4 pot and 2 pot fit on easily? I would get disks with the set, would I need to purchase anything else?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks

J

the fronts will bot straight on but you will need an adaptor plate for the rear calipers, I believe you can get them from Godspeed

Not all 16's will clear the 4 pots, the 16" speedlines i had, and the 17" technocast wheels i have now both hit the calliper.
I fitted 5mm spacers to stop this.

AP can supply a kit that will fit under *some* 16 inch wheels. They are the best if money isn't a restriction.

K-sport also do a kit that fit under the OEM 16 inch rims, there is a group buy on them at the mo I believe, getting good reviews.

Best budge upgrade std Subaru 4 pots, but as said above, they don't fit under all 16 inch rims and even some 17inch ones can cause probs.

There are so many 16" wheels and offsets. Put a question up with the type of wheel you have to see if anyone else has them with 4 pots.

Default Thanks

Sorry for the late reply, appreciate the tips and pointers, unfortunately was not the winning bidder of the 4 pots and not have to wait for another set to come available. Was quite gutted didn't win as the set had the 4 pots and 2 pots. They went for a good price in my opinion (under £300) and looked to be in great condition. Sadly my iphone decided to crash everytime i tried bidding! Next time.

I do have the standard wrx wheels in 16".

I can't get access to photobucket from work and am unable to post a pic.

Again thanks for the help. At least I know at the minimum I will need spacers for the rears. Many thanks lads.

Hi all, finally got myself some 4 pots, just a quick question.....it comes with the standard hose lines, i found some Goodridge ones fairly cheap, just not sure if its the right part number.....the one i found is Part number SSU0500-4P 44S.

Would that be the correct one for fitting the 4 pots to a pre facelift classic?

Thanks in advance for any help.
