Thumbs up

Stuart,

Yes it is the disc for the stadard 4 pot.

There is a lot more feel to the brake pedal, and when braking from high speed, the front end of the car really grips the road, and stops very quickly indeed.

And they look cool

Talking

MY01 WRX

Offered sponsorship

What is the best brake upgrade money can buy?

Ideally looking at AP - what specifications do I need to put forward?

Cheers

And as if by magic, Markus appears

Movits would get my vote, as would AP 6-pots and AP 4-pots

I would be slightly biased towards the movits simply because I've purchased a set.

OK, fitting under standard MY01 wheels can be a problem, but it can be done. And if you are looking to change the wheels then it shouldn't be a problem.

Suffice to say I could write song and verse on movits and MY01 wheels and one day I might

If you're at all interested either email me, or visit JAS Traction who are UK distributors for the movit kit. Richard Jeal who runs JAS is a very nice chap to talk to.

Thanks for your replies.

Any pictures of AP 6 pots on the standard MY01 wheels?

What I really need is effective stopping power, not just looks

Have you ever heard of a Porsche owner complain about naff brakes? Get the bi-turbo ones and reinforce your windscreen

Andi,
The yellow calipers are the new 6-pot ones and are very, very big, the red ones are 'only' 4-pots. I've actually purchased a set of the red ones (911 GT3 spec calipers to be precise)

How big are they? well, put it this way, they won't ,without spacers, fit under MY01 17 inch wheels! yup, big! don't even think they'd fit under the STi 7 wheels, and thr STi has huuuuuugggggeeee calipers on it.

rest assured that I'll post some pics of the movit kit when it's fitted to my car.

Thanks everyone for your advice - in particular all at Scoobymania.

I've opted for the AP 6 pots.

Just got to sort a few things out (ie funds)...........

I'll post the pictures when I get them
