Any specific brand you're after, what type of tire do you prefer ? Hard, uncompromised, track-focussed, good in wet, grippy but wear, nervous but last forever, how long is a piece of string ?
FWIW, Camskill are usually very good on price. Also try Black Circles and My Tyres. Motorsport Wheels will often match Camskill if you have a branch near you, and obviously they do fitting too.
The current top rated tires are Uniroyal Rainsport 2, Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta and Goodyear F1 Assymetrics, or maybe Parada Spec 2,. If you want to go more hardcore, look at RE070's, R888's, Dunlop DZ02G or A048's.

That's a very good price - quite hard to turn down actually.
I've had these on for around 18 months now and reckon they're a good tyre.I've only done around 7k on them mind but they're really holding up well, still loads of tread left.
Grip in dry is very good and i've never had any 'moments' in the wet neither. A little dicey on greasy roads but then most are.

You won't be disappointed with F1 asymmetrics. They're awesome in all conditions and wear rate is excellent.
I paid £100/corner fitted just over 12mths ago for 225/40 18's. IMHO they look good too, a bit like PS2's. they also come up wider than other tyres, my 225's look more like 235's..
The only thing to bear in mind is they do need some scrubbing in. Mine took about 500 miles before they lost their initial squidgyness..!
As with any tyre purchase, make sure you're getting fresh factory stock. The WoM is stamped on ALL tyres (ie 09/52).. The rubber deteriorates after sitting around for 6mths or more on a shelf..!

Local place in Birmingham. It was over 12mths ago so maybe they're dearer now..? Saying that, GY UK had very limited supplies at the time, so that shouldn't be the case now. Therefore more chance of a good deal..?
Phone a several local suppliers and get a price, they'll more than likely have to find out a price and not carry stock, but that's no bad thing as it ensures the tyres are fresh. Be prepared for some widely varied prices, some will be ridiculously expensive, but you might find someone local who'll sort you out. If you're after fitted and balanced make sure that's included in your quotes..

I have some Prada spec 2 tyres and am changing from them as soon as I can. The volume of the tyre noise is phenomenally loud and the treadwear is odd as the trailing edge of the tyre wore faster than the front did on all 4 tyres and thats after a set of AST coilovers going on. This then put a very bad vibration in the steering and even worse when braking. One model of tyre I will be avoiding in future
