Default Brake pads anything but ebc

I could do with so advice on which pads i should put in my classic impreza, i had ebc in all my other cars so i decide to put some in the impreza, to be honest im not too impressed with the performance compared to a standard cheap pad, the only thing i noticed it took alot long for them get too hot but thats what ebc state any way. So im not sure what pad to have now? ive been told the mintex m1155 pads are good but are expensive can enybody else recommend them or know of any other pads that work well in an impreza?

cheers jacko

DS2500 - had these before I switched to EBC Reds, the car stopped with the Ferodos on! The EBC Pads are rubbish!

Speak to Ian at High Performance Brakes - Supplying AP and Brembo brake kits for road and motorsport use he will be able to recommend some. I had some Kevlar ones off him along with some disks and they are great brakes for a very reasonable price

Ferodo DS2500 from Camskill or AS Performance

Its always worth spending more on brakes and tyres, because should you need them in an emergency you want them to work well.

DS2500

Pagids maybe ok for lightly modded cars but they cannot take too much abuse on track and glaze over quickly

The above is complete tripe. Pagid have an extensive race winning history, that is proper racing not occasional track day use. How can they only be suitable for lightly modded cars? Pagid FTW

I'm using the CarboneLorraine Group N RC6 pads, they are fantasic even from cold. They are expensive but well worth it.

EBC redstuff

What exactly is wrong with these pads that most of you seem to complain about?

Apart from not working at all when cold, barely working when hot, incredible wear rate, cracking, falling apart and high price, nothing really....it's just trendy to complain about them

Performance Friction, Pagid, Ferodo, Mintex and maybe Balck Diamond.

I found EBC Red Ceramics poor too
