Default please help!! 17's rubbing like hell!

just bought some 17's for my classic with 225/45/r17 rubbers and the tyres are brand new so don't want to replace them and i really like the wheels. they are barely an inch bigger than my old 15's with mahoosive tyres! which i never had any issues with. can i have some suggestions please. rolling the arches would be expensive and i don't know whether spring spacers are safe. please help as i don't want to drive like this too much incase i cause the tyres to blow out. thanks guys.

225's are generally too wide, they can be made to fit with coilovers/and/or rolling the arches.
Please do get it sorted asap, I have first hand experience of a blow out (caused by rubbing due to overloading) .

If the tyres are nearly new, sell them and buy some that will clear the bodywork.
