I asked Rotashop (BigJames) about the torques in 17x7.5 and he said they would clear brembos, the only ones he questioned for clearance was the Grids which only go to a 17x7.5. Worth double checking as the Offset is lower at 45 rather than the torques 48. Other than that you could try the 18x8.5 ET35 grid drifts on a 235 tyre ?

An 8.5" wide wheel is the max you could go to on a newage in 18" diameter without having to go into arch mods. The only problem you will have is when you start reducing your offset, then it will come down to the style and shape of the spoke on the wheel to make sure it clears your Brembo's and still go under the arch.

The tyre will also be an issue if the wheel width size is maxed to 8.5", so make sure that you allow clearance for them to, a little stretch on the tyre would be best to help the matter.

Ideally you are better going to a wheel dealer and trying a few sets to see if they will go on without clearance issues, othwise you could be making an expensive mistake.

Hope that helps.

You may get them on with a very minor arch pull or arch roll, but again it will depend on the offset you get.

Go and ask on NASIOC Budge. 18x9 will go on easy You just need to go for a lower offset and a bit more neg camber. With your coilovers should be easy

They won't go on easy, you will need an arch roll and negative camber on a 9" wheel, a 9.5" wheel needs arch rolling and pulling and negative camber. The pics of the cars posted with these wheels can be found on the Nasioc site and they had to do the above to achieve that size.

I know as I am going through the same process with my 9.5's. I currently have 8.5's with a 35 offset running 225 tyres on my hawkeye (a wheel they said would never go on ) and it still catches slightly on the rear arch when under heavy cornering but it does have the S-tech lowering springs fitted also.

As well as Buddy Club I also like Ultralites, both very good value for money. They'r not forged like the really expensive Volks/Works/Nismo/Rays etc but are well built & most importantly for track work, light weight.

Ultralite Wheels

If & when I change my wheels I am thinking of either the Buddy Club PF11 or these Ultralites:

Also excellent 35-offsets for that aggresive/arch filling look!

Cant go wrong with Volks mate, but your bank statement will!!!

ps: Im peed off, I really liked the Ultralite Nurburgring, but foundout they wont clear the Brembos & Buddy Club PII is discontinued.

I dont understand why aftermarket wheel manufacturers make so many of their wheels that dont clear BBK's! Dont they realise that someone whos going to be buying these kind of wheels are most likely the type who will also have BBK's!!! Rant over

The specs on the wheels are steel grey 18x9 rota g-forces, +35 offset with 235/40/18 nankang nsII. Its on megan racing track coilovers with the front fenders rolled and the rears slightly rolled. Its rubbin on the rear so i need to go back over them but the fronts only rub at full lock
On a wagon so no flared arches. Should fall into yours

Question

hey, been searching up loads on this, but im not up to scratch just yet on offset etc!

I want the rota grids, but what work would be needed? Was looking at the sizes 18x9 and 18x9.5. Ive got the 05 sti ppp (but not too sure its got the ppp springs?!?!?)
Been told to go for the 18x9.5 ET35. Would i need to roll arches and also camber? how much would these typically cost.

Any help would be great before i go and waste money.

Want it to look along the lines of this....
