Anyone not using EBC reds pads on their turbo groove disks
#2
Shouldn't be an issue under most conditions I would have thought - it's just a brake disc.
- Mintex 1155 seem a good alternative - bit cheaper than the Ferodo/Pagid options. Just make sure they get bedded in properly (instructions on website I think)

Had no choice today>>>> Thanks to Tileys in Bristol for sorting me out with a setv of Subaru pads. Will be thinking hard about getting another set of EBC reds.... The wear rate is terrible.

I've had my reds on a while and don't get as bad wear as I've heard others on here have however, they can't wear out soon enough IMHO as I think they are not up to the job on an Impreza.

Yep - when they're cold they don't stop the car, after a few hi speed stops they get very hot, fade and don't stop the car
Interesting driving around all the time wondering if the car will haul itself to a stop or not Also find the pedal really spongy from cold - get a bit of heat in them and it bites and is quite firm - get them real hot and the pedal goes spongy again - there is no consistent pedal travel making braking very difficult and subject to conditions of the pad
