Default Brakes? Which are best?

After experiencing poor brake performance on my 2001 Classic Turbo 2000 ive decided to renew the pads and discs front and rear for an upgrade. First time ive really upgraded brakes on a car but i really feel the subaru needs it. Looked at EBC Drilled and grooved discs and redstuff ceramic pads but also heard good things about the godspeed 355mm conversion. My car is just used for normal everyday driving nothing too hard but would be good to have some stopping power.

ebc redstuff tends to be used alot and for spirited driving should be enough. why not try black diamond discs & pads, prob about the same in cost as the redstudd but i think they are better.

with regards to the godspeed and getting bigger calipers etc. i think if u do more track then yes but if its just road then the standard sized stuff should be fine.

Sorry made a slight mistake there... its a 335mm conversion and retains the standard four pot calipers. Around £600 all in i think.

Think Pagid or Ferodo DS2500 pads would be best to go for. I have Redstuff ceramic, and they are quite good considering. I am still on original 2 pots.

OE discs and pads like ferodo ds2500/mintex 1144 will suffice for day to day driving mate. Braided hoses are usually fitted for a better pedal feel aswell..

I love my K-sport brakes, unburstable even on brake-heavy circuits like Snetterton. DS2500 pads more than enough even for really vicious use.
