Hi Chaps - new to the board.

Nearly used up the OE tyres on my Y2000 Turbo 2000 and thinking of an upgrade from the std 16"-ers.

Is the preferred dia/ type Anthracite/gold 17" - off the P1?
And is there a favourite make/size of rubber to put on it?

(I'm only considering road use and don't want to significantly reduce ride quality or noise)

you can try http://homepage.ntlworld.com/david.smith55/sw/ to find sum of the nice wheels for scoobies & i found http://www.grahamgoode.com/subaru/products/wheels.htm also good for wheel ideas as well as recommended tyres to fit em. With reagdrs wot rubber then u shud find plentyu of thread already covering this subject.
