FALKEN FK452 Tyre - Any 1 tried 'em?
Hi all, looking to get some new and proper rubber on the car. Have been looking at these:
FALKEN FK452
What does everybody think? Any body tried them in the past or anything? They will be going on 18" alloys.
Thanks
Sami

Have them fitted paid £65 a corner, for the money they cant be beaten.
Be careful for the 1st 500/1000 miles, in greasy situations, just after a rainfall they let go on me other than that good tyre

Thanks for that mate will look out. Just ordered some at £65 each. Seem to be getting some good reviews but just wanted to know what there like on an impreza. What are they like in the wet once theyve been run in bud?

I run these on 18s.
The rim protection is poor, but I know some of the damage is down to my parking skills.
They seem to have a reasonable life on them too.
I've only had these and the FK451s before so I don't have much to compare them against performance wise, but I won't be buying them again until I've tried something different.

I am running them and rate them highly, although i havent put them through any track use etc i know a guy that has been running them on his 350hp 200sx for track use and rates them.
I spent a long time looking at tyres and for the price/performance they are a great buy.
I have previously run toyo T1R tyres and have not really noticed much difference from the falkens.

The tyres that are currently on the car are 215/35/18...Is this the right size tyre? Dont really know what these numbers mean but im guessing the 18 is the size of the rim :s lol. What size tyre should i have and what difference will it make?
Thanks

Not sure on 225 mate, depends how low you are, would have thouht you would be pushing it tbh The ride in mine is bone crunchingly hard with 35, not so much of a cushion than with 40's. The fact mine is on its *** prob dont help either

Seems all the question are answered.
Some MLR boys rave about them aswell.
I'm was tempted to go for a more road legal track tyre like the 888, but at £600+ a set seems a waste, so may stick with 452's again

I've used about 10 sets of FK451's on my impreza, including lots of track days, and have been very happy with them. I find the response good, and to be very progressive when having fun, so if the 452's are no worse then I'd be happy.

Just put a set of 215/40/18 FK-452's on my Rota GRA's that replaced a set of FK-451’s.
So far so good. In fact... they've shown me how worn my old FK-451's were as they corner so much better with only 150 miles on them!
I got mine fitted and balanced for £79 a corner. I was looking at Toyo's, but needed to find another £25 to £30 a corner.
The FK-452's are a budget tyre, but for the money I don't think you can go wrong.
Sqn Ldr.... out

I am running these at the moment and it took 500 miles for them to scrub in. Once done though, I havent noticed any problems with grip what so ever compared to the bridgestones, toyos and avons previously. They seem to last well and look ok on the wheel too.
For the money I'll be sticking with these in the future!
