Wink Do all Brakes pads Squeak

Hi Fellas,

Just been out of Power Engineering as has 1st MOT. All is good but it's that time to get some new pads. I askes about upgarding to something like Red Stuff but they said that there really good but they will squeak like mad!

"We've never been abled to stop them from squeaking. This wasn't just limited to reed stuff, this was to all high graded pads.

Can anyone comment on this as I have just opted for the normal Brembo ones all around.

PS should I maybe get high quality pads on the front??

cheers Alexppp

Not all no.

I run Ferrodo Ds2500's in my Ap calipers and they don't make any noise, and that's with no copper grease either.
My brother had Pagid Rs4 on his Evo and they where the worst pads for squeaking/squealing I've ever heard.

I have EBC yellowstuff on mine.

Never squeaked and far better stopping power than the "standard" ones they replaced. Must admit I did upgrade to stainlss stell lines and grooved discs as the same time though.

Red stuff do squeal like mad and they are the worst pads I've ever had. DS2500 are absolutely excellent and don't squeak at all.

Most squeeling can be stopped by chamferring the leading edges of the pads with a file.
