Default Time for new brakes ... recommendations?

Completely shagged my brakes at Brands Hatch on Friday and need to source some replacement disks and pads pretty quickly (also want to take the opportunity to fit braided lines). Thought I'd get them done at Xtreme Scoobies - local specialist who know what they're doing - but I've never heard of the brand they use: DBA. Anyone had any experience with with DBA disks?

Also see lots of good things about Godspeed on here ... anyone know of a specialist in East Anglia who will fit them? Unfortunately I'm slightly restricted in how far I can go for replacements as I have minimal braking ability above 60 mph!

Any other suggestions? I'm looking for fast road/trackday performance.

Mmm, looks interesting. There was a guy at Brands with these on and he liked them a lot. I checked out your site and the registered address is Farringdon. Is this where you trade from or a registered address? Only ask because I work in the City and wouldn't mind coming and having a 'look with my hands'.

We only do mail order at the moment. That is the reg office address.

The kit is really good quality and I have no doubt you will like it.

In the highly unlikely event that you don't like it, just return it for a full refund

Yeah that was Zak. He was impressed when he was in my car out mapping last year and I stood on the brakes from silly mph and he was pressed against the windscreen unable to reconnect his backside with my seat lol.

They work superbly around town
They work flawlessly on track
The pads lasted 20,000 hard road and track miles
The discs are still good for another 20K

I will be running these again in Time Attack this year

Oh and they are a bargain price

I make my own 2 piece discs and bells , which are direct replacement , they come with a 12 month guarantee against warping even if you do track days , they are £350 a pair , replacement discs are then £275 a pair including a set of nuts and bolts.
You can use these with any make of pads , I have been trying out Carbonne Lorraine pads for the last couple of months , and for track use they are probably the best pads that I have tried , For the Spec C they are £90 a set.

I have just fitted these to my rally car , changing from Ferodo DS3000 , these are much better.

I can supply you Mintex , Ferodo , PF and pads

Cheers Ian

I had DBA brakes on my Spec C and they were fantastic, only used them on the road though, no track days.

However i know Litchfield used them on his Time attack car(he told me) so they cant be bad.

also looking to replace mine on my 06 Hawkeye STi but cant seem to find prices of DBA.

Xtreme supply them but don't put prices up. And they're in Essex so that might not help you. Noticed from your sig that you in N Yorks ... whereabouts? Where do you normally get you car serviced? Moving up to the Driffield area this summer so need a few pointers.

Alyn at ASP also supplies those but the PF discs are better as they are 2 piece and separate some of the heat from the bearings.

I get it serviced up North mate, Could not find anyone local to thirsk so i used to coincide visits to Scotland with servicing etc.

Thought about using Scoobyclinic but still a good hour away from me,i dont live there anymore, have now moved to Jockland till next March then i'm off to live in N Ireland, that should be a right nighmare on servicing and insurance, lol

You can get 2 peice DBA's as well, i only need the 4000XS,might give them a bell tommorow.

Good luck.
