I just responded to your thread on the crank seal! I had green stuff pads on my MY99 classic and they were very poor. I now have Black Diamond pads and discs and they are much better. So my advice would be to look elsewhere for the pads.

I think you'll find that even EBC don't recommend Green stuff for impreza anymore!!!!

I had black diamond before I switxhed over to brembo's, They worked pretty well and seemed to last well.

You can buy direct from black diamond, I think for around £45 a set

i got black diamond discs with mintex pads and these seem to hold up pretty good, but when i had my vectra st200, as standard the st200 came with 330ml discs with 4 pot ap calipers, at 1st i used red dot and they over heated that much it warped my discs, luckily i got them skimmed and saved myself £450 for new discs, i changed to greenstuff and never had the slightest problem with them, they can take some abuse, no sqweeling when hot or brake fade, and iirc they dont give out much brake dust.

Greens aren't recommended by EBC themselves. I had Reds and was very disappointed with them. Average performance but wore very quickly. Ferodo DS2000 (now DSPF ??) were much better, as were Mintex 1155, although they were dirty and squeally. If I still had a Scoob it would have Pagid Blue probably now. Alyn at AS Performance is a top guy to deal with on anything brake related, posts on here as Stockcar IIRC.

EBC dont reccomend the green stuff for Turbo Imprezas, they are really intended for lower power cars. They say the red stuff ceramic are the ones to use. I have these on my UK classic along with the EBC Turbo grooved and vented discs - have to say they are very good, nice progressive feel once warmed up.

I had green stuff on an escort rs, they are rubbish. Only heard that red and yellow are good but go for black diamond or the ferodo DS range.

I have exact same setup and have to say i'm pretty pleased aswell. its not everyone that wants either on or off brakes, progressive is good, just means u have to work them more.
