18" Rims for MY07 STi - What tyres???
I'm looking to purchase some Rota P1's in white for MY07 STi.
The choice wasn't massive due to the fitment but these seemed to be the best thing this side of Rota GRAs IMO, should look smart on a WR Blue Hawkeye.
Anyway, what do people recommend tyre wise for 18s? Any opinions on make and size would be appreciated!!
To be honest I've been pretty happy with the Bridgestones that came as standard on the STi from new.
Cheers

Currenty I am running Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta 235/40/18 they are superb !
The Rota P1's are 18x8 like my Rota Torques, 225/40/18 is the usual size but can often look stretched over 8"s plus they offer little in the way of rim protection. 235's are the business for looks and rim protection and come as standard on the JDM STi's.
Mine on Torques.
Before I had flaps, nice looking tread pattern.

I also have Vredestein sessanta on my 18" Turinis but i am using the 225/40/18 tyres which fit lovely over the 18x8 rim and doesnt look stretched at all (also a lot cheaper) very grippy tyres in the dry and the damp well worth a look IMO

Not much in it price wise from Mocom's
225/40/18 - £84.60
235/40/18 - £89.30
I had Mich PS2's on 8's and they looked stretched, the sessantas have more rim protection so probably will be a better fit than the Mich's. Prodrive recomend 235's for 18's on post MY05 cars, having said that the next set of rims I am going for are 8.5" on 245's
225 Mich PS2's on 8's RS4's on the Passat, not enough rubber for me.

So I'm going to be looking at a 235/40/18, cheers for the info!
Just need to figure what what rubber I'm going to go for now, must say that if they do them I'll be tempted to stay with the Bridgestone RE's
