Default EAGLE F1s on a classic WRX

Through research on this forum I've decided to get some Eagle F1 tyres. The cheapest I've found is mytyres-dot-co-dot-uk but they've got two types at different prices:

EAGLE F1 GS-D3 225/45 R17 91Y BSW, VSB and

EAGLE F1 GS-D3 225/45 R17 91Y

(the latter being £10 more expensive per corner).
  1. What are BSW and VSB?
  2. What pressure should I run them on (1998 WRX Wagon running around 300BHP)

225/45/17 are too wide, you need to be looking at 215/45/17, dont buy 215/40/17 Eagle F1's as that size doesn't have reinforced sidewalls.

Why do you say that (regarding the width)?

I was actually going by the info on your post (https://www.scoobynet.com/wheels-tyr...e-f1s-83y.html) where "Arch" (post #8) had spoken to Goodyear Technical Services and the 225/45/17s were supposed to be okay.
