Default Warped discs now better?

Hi fellas,

The thing is, after my last trackday, where I was getting a lot of noise and judder from the fronts (after giving them death!), I figured that I'd need a set of new front discs to go with the new pads I need all round. This is because the judder didn't stop as had previously after a few road miles (due to deposits wearing off, I guess).

Because I've been busy, six weeks have passed and I've done nothing about it all. And yet in the last week the judder has gone!

I have a trackday in two weeks time, should I:

1. Replace the pads, and chance the discs, and be a bit more careful this time. Dont want new discs if I don't need them.

2. Get new discs now.

Thanks

Howard

i have cracked discs before but not warpped them. how olds your current discs and how thick are they? compare this to minimum stamped inside them and this may help answer your question.

Try cleaning the disc surfaces with grit paper and brake cleaner and doing a bedding in procedure, I haven't done it before but will be doing from now on.

I had some brake judder on the 1st track day with a new set up, as the day went on and some very hard/standing on the brake pedal occured it went away, noise went up, droning. Been fine ever since.

Default What ?

I had judder before trackday, due to pad deposits....

60 miles of pure abuse got rid of it completely !

Thanks fellas. That Stoptech info is very interesting.

Think I'll change the pads and stick with discs for now.

Thanks

You may find that when you get back on track the judder will come back again, when the discs heat right up. My brother has had a lot of problems with this on his evo.
Maybe find a quite section of road and do a lot of heavy braking to get the discs really hot, as a test before your trackday.
