Default Warped discs bugeye 2001

Hi

I've been through 3 sets of discs and pads cos the discs keep warping for the latest set of discs i replaced the calipers at the same time. I been very easy on the braking to let them bed in, as per the instructions that came with the discs and pads. But once again they have warped. Anybody know of any other reason as to why this could be happening? I have curbed an alloy in the snow a couple of years ago which I replaced, could there be anything bent that would cause the discs to warp cos it's driving me mad now.

Cheers Alex

Have you replaced the calipers with new or reconditioned ones , or just different used ones ?
Have you checked the drive flange for run out ?

Its 99% a warped/bent hub/stub axel from when you hit the curb, i could check it with a run out gauge but id have to see the car. If its done 3 sets of discs then its not the discs thats the issue. With a dial gauge you could check both discs and see which is the issue. Then replace that side bearing and hub and put new discs on which would cure the problem.

Seen it a few times before on various cars and exactly the same issue on a Lexus IS200 which ive just cured the issue on after other garages failed to diagnose correctly as they probably didnt own a dial gauge

What discs you fitting?

And are the brakes juddering straight away or once they've been used for a few miles?

Did you clean up the hub mounting surface sufficiently, and are you conscious whether it's both sides or one side (might hear it more than feel it).

Just to add a brake disc wont warp itself, there is always a cause which gives the juddering feeling. Pad deposits and hubs not been true is generally the cause.

where will I be able to get a bearing/ hub from? no point going used is there so will need a new part cos ive pretty much ruled out any other cause.

Anybody know of anything else that would cause the discs to warp and I will get that done at the same time ?
