Currently running 225/35/18 tyres for track day with pressures in them set at 35 front, 33 rear.
What pressure should i be running them for the track, thanks.
Will soon be changing to 17's for track use, so what is the general consensis on this?

I use 36 front, 33 rear cold, set the day before and don't play with them during the day. Not sure what effect other pressures would have.

I use 39F/35R road and track. On track this stops the outside edges of the tyres scrubbing off. Doesn't seem to hurt grip, ride is hard.

For 17's i have found 35 all round(hot) works best for me.Originally Posted by P1 NUT

Have you tried that though?Originally Posted by shazam
I was always told to up pressures by 10psi for track.
It depends on how you lap, and the weight of your car too, and temperatures on the day.
Its best to experiment and feel whats right for you, Its all about confidence.
I've found by running low pressures cold so that after 2-3 laps the tyres are warm, but i lose confidence as on a few out laps the tyres feel sloppy.

I run 30Psi on track, after chatting to Zen & RCM at time attack....
Andy Walsh informed me today, that if your rolling the tyres (i.e. scrubbing the side walls), then for every 10mm of scrubbing, increase pressures by 10PSI. On my track tyres there is a small arrow that shows the maximum point at which the side scrubbing should occur.

if you go by the under steer over steer rules of adjusting your suspension and apply the same rules to your tyres pressures you will get fast results.
I had a good dry weather damper setting that worked and found the stunner scudo tyres needed about 28f 26r to work best. As soon as I used toyo tyres my pressures needed to be 35f 30r to get the same results.
All I am saying is dont take pressures to be exact. All makes of tyres need different pressures.
If the fronts are rolling over lumps of fat then pump them up 2psi at a time to dial it out.
I found better results playing with pressures than I did messing up damper settings.
