Default LOAD RATING....?????

Just a quick question.. is there a noticeable difference between tyres with say an 87w rating compared to a 91y rating ie ride quality and stiffness...??? It is just i am using tyres at the moment with an 87w rating and they are perfect for my driving very comfortable on very bad roads..I would not like to loose that by changing to 91y rated tyres ..although i cannot see how it could make that much diffreence..any thoughts on this guys...???

Just gone from 87W Bridgestone RE050s (stiff sidewall admittedly) to Pirelli P Zero Neros in the extra load 91Y spec.

Not a huge amount of difference in ride quality but if I had to choose I say the Pirelli's ride quality were slightly better. Would have to say that the difficulty in comparing them is that the Bridgestones had done 26k so had pretty much had it compared to fresh tyres.
