Advice 4 pot, 2 pot, no pot ?
I need to get new discs on my classic import 95 reg but am unsure what 4 pot, 2 pot is etc. and what diameter discs i would have on it ? Can anyone help please ?
Thanks

The work 'pot' refers to the number of pistons incorporated into the caliper. A four pot subaru caliper should have 'SUBARU' writen on the side in bold letters. I think (only think) the 2 pot disc is 277mm and the 4 pot disc 295mm. A quick search will clarify that..

Ok I m pretty sure I havent got SUBARU written on the caliper, (this i think would be in white?) so i guess then i would have 2 pot.
Would this 277mm be front and rear or are the rear normally smaller/bigger what ever model you have ?
Thanks

I've bought discs from GGR on ebay before (the 295mm versions). But they do 277mm aswell. Always been impressed and no warping which is more than I can say for higher-priced items I've bought in the past.
eBay.co.uk: IMPREZA 96>98 2.0 FRONT BRAKE PADS & 2X DISCS 277MM (item 230102518545 end time 08-May-07 16:50:36 BST)

I use the basic discs from GGR (295mm) with EBC Redstuff pads. Though I have to say that the (cheap) pads you get from GGR felt no different to the Redstuff pads. I've used grooved discs in the past and they do help when you do a lot of hard braking but not normal road driving. The best "upgrade" I've done were braded brake hoses (circa £50). Much firmer/positive feel than grooved discs or uprated pads. Avoid drilled discs as the discs will end up cracking.

Yep, about £50 for all four lines. I got them from this group buy
https://www.scoobynet.com/group-buys...ight=goodridge
But you can get them here now the group buy has ended.
