Default Who fitted the K-sport 8pots?

As it says, do you have any feedback on these brakes, I am still very interested in a set of these and would like some feedback.

I put a halt to upgrading as I need to replace my clutch and bought a load of other parts. SO hopefully it will be all systems go soon.

Any pics would be good also.

Thanks
S!

Well I've fitted them, the job was an absolute doddle as they fitted exactly. There were lots of extra spacers etc to ensure exact fitting but I didn't need any of them as it went on perfectly. I got the kit with the DS2500 pads and I did 100-ish laps of Snetterton flat out and didn't get a whimper from them. The pedal felt like there was a brick under it for the whole time and that was with just DOT 4 fluid in the system.

So not shi*e at all in fact. In my humble opinion.

No idea - I went to a wheel dealer with my 356mms and offered up loads of 17" wheels but nothing fitted. You may get away with the 335s under there though.

I'm getting a set of those pretty soon.... seems to be the best bargain since subaru rolled out the impreza !

I was seriously considering StopTech until they catched my eyes... At almost half the price you can't just ignore them. All those good returns plus the 20+ track days testing them somebody has reported make me confident about buying them.

ONE QUESTION THOUGH : StopTech makes balances brakes upgrades ; what about this kit?? Will it not significantly shift stopping power to the front, reducing thereforce the total stopping distance? What's the influence of the pots' size and number in that matter?

You can only get them from Apex Performance - who operate the K-Sport. Suspension, Alignment Components and Motorsport Accessories web-site.
I can't tell you about the brake balancing as I put trick rear pads on at the same time as the fronts so the whole thing was different anyway. I can tell you at the end of a track day session the rear callipers were hotter than the fronts.

Alright, I'm ordering them on this side of the channel (france), they are branded D2, same price, same factory in taiwan, just the branding changes

BTW, does anyone know if these brakes fit behind SLG 17"s ?

According to the people at Apex they have had modifications made to the UK ones. The piston sizes have been changed to ensure a more even distribution of pressure accross the pad surface.

Marketing hype or real benefit I can't tell you....

Mother T,

Post up pics using Photobucket. I'm pm you my email tomorrow tho.

I like the colour of the D2 ones better, but the Orange does look good and the changes to the pistons is a bonus also

I think you can use Ap brembo etc with these calipers.

Just need to get the money together before I can buy them......
