Creaky brakes - Wilwood 6 pots
I've noticed that sometimes the RH front Wilwood caliper on my Impreza has started to creak when I push the pedal as far as it will go - it also makes a little creak when the pedal is released. No change in braking power.
Any ideas what this might be? Do brakes creak for some reason or does this sound manufacturer specific.

Could be a number of things.
One thing for sure is it doesn't sound good..!
Could be a bolt coming loose, caliper is flexing or maybe a brake pipe not secured properly and moving under pressure..?
Does this occur whilst the car is stationary (ie pushing the pedal whilst ticking over on your drive)..?
Also does it happen everytime you press pedal..?

Does it stationary not sure about moving.
Doesn't do it everytime, might even go away once warm. Its only just started doing it so haven't had a chance to experiment with it.

I stand to be corrected, but I think Wilwood are racing brakes (ie desinged to be stripped and cleaned every weekend) and are not fitted with dust seals which prevent the pistons from rusting and sticking over a salty British winter. Could be the problem?
