best tyre for 18's?

want it for track time and fast road driving. I have decided on yoko prada spec 2 things. Just can decide on the profile 225/35/18 or 225/40/18? I think the 40 should do it?

Classic would be 215/35/18 or 225/35/18.

Newage 225/40/18 or 235/40/18 if a later spec STi car.
