Some one confirm brake pad design for WRX 52 plate
Can some one tell me if the pad i have outlined IS for a WRX 52 plate (pp372) ???
As the guys who i have just picked my pads up from say its a different design (pp418)
When i take a look at the caliper, albeit from the outside with wheel on,it does seem to be the drawing i have outlined........Or am i completely wrong
Im not an idiot you know, its just that these guys INSISTED that i was wrong

PP372 is defo the right pad for a NON STI wrx on a 52 plate.... the caliper should have SUBARU on the side, if it has Brembo, or nothing, then they aren't the right pads and you have an oddity.......
The pistons literally just push back in.... make sure the fluid reservoir isn't too full, or it might overflow.....

Pretty certain. It's only a 10 minute job to pop one out and have a look anyway, and that includes the jacking and wheel off/on time.

Don't even need a manual, get the wheel off and it's self-explanitory

Piece of p!ss, not much different to my last vauxhall, took me about 2 hours to do both sides, pads and discs and that was with one of the discs well and truely seized onto the hub I would guess at about 15 minutes a side without doing the discs

Jack up, wheel off, lid off fluid res, clip off, pins out, push piston back using old pad and some adjustable pliers, lift out old pad, copper slip new pad back and insert, copper slip pins and insert, refix clip, wheel on, jack down. Do other side then put lid back on res. Start up and pump pedal a couple of times to seat the new pads, take for a gentle test to make sure.

At least you remembered to pump the brakes up, when I did my first fiesta 17 'cough' years ago I missed that and reversed off the drive, thankfully I found a kerb before I found another car
