Default AP Racing vs. Endless vs. Brembo vs. Tarox

Hi guys

I need your opinions about brake kits.

What do you think about different brake kit manufacturers?
Which kit do you think is the best?

Environment will be slaloms, hill climb, circuit and regular traffic.
I know there will be some compromises to be made.

True.
But in fact they are Brembos.
Just as Movits are too.

Common concensus appears to be APs. Fit and forget!

Go for Performance Friction discs and pads - save yourself the money on the AP kit, they will be overkill for what you need IMO.

Ah yes forgot the Project Mu.

Thought so that everybody from the UK would go for the AP's.

Thing is, I will have to go trough quite a big registration process here in Switzerland and since I have to do this anyway I can fit basically whatever I want to the car and have it road legal after that.

We have quite strict regulations here and if there are no official papers for parts, then you can not get it road legal. And only very few manufacturers or importers get into that process of geting official papers, because it needs a lot of time, paperwork and money. Stubid laws.
You guys can feel quite lucky, just MOT and go. How easy is that.

How many people crying out AP!!! AP!!! AP!!! have actually used the others???

The AP kit is fantastic mate but in all honesty i cant comment on the others because i personally have not tried them.

A good disc pad combo is a great upgrade to the STI brembos, and if you could cure their over heating under hard track usage imo they would be not far off if as good as the APs if you forget the weight factor.

and certainly for a lot less money

my pf set up was less than half the AP kit and on a full force braking made Zak from Mocom levitate about 6 inches above his seat with the braking force.

From a heat perspective, they get better when they get hotter too

To help remove any potential heat issues, some simple brake cooling ducts will fix the problem and leaves my pocket feeling much better thanks

AP are great but way too much of an overkill performance wise.

Aside from that, have you seen the pad costs for the AP kits????? jeeesh lots of money and bearing in mind that you will eat more pads on the AP kit cos of the slotted rotors you will spend a fortune on pads.

Not for me - PF Carbon metallic pads are about a 1/3 the costs of the pads for the AP kit.
