Question Which tyres?

Would like a bit of advice please? I have an MY 06 STI with the Bridgestone Pontenza tyres on it, I need to change them in the next couple of weeks. I didnt like them found them to be quite noisy and tram lined a lot, they were also very soft, I will have got about 10,000 miles out of them.

I dont do track days these tyres will be for road use only.
I dont want to spend a fortune but dont want a crap budget tyre either.
I would like something that is hard wearing.

Any ideas please?

Michelin Pilot Sport 2. If you have access to a Costco branch they are doing 20% off for a set of 4 at the moment.

Are your old Potenzas the agressive looking tyres on the latest STi?

If so, what is the exact name, size, etc as I am having trouble finding info?

What are these tyres like for everyday use? You have already indicated noisy and tram lining - is that when cold as they give the impression they warm up?

The tyres are of an my06 sti they look like semi slicks, they are 225 45 17 I think not sure of the model.
I really didnt like them at all, they are down to the wear indicator and they still tram line not as badly as they did when new but still doing it. My wife drives the car more than I do so it doesnt get beasted but 10,000 from a set of tyres is bad.

I'll not be putting them on again.
